Thoughts:
I gave this episode 3 stars because it fell flat for me. Of course, it's always nice to see what happened to Maggie and Sasha and how they buried Glenn and Abraham at Hilltop.
At the Burial Site:
When I saw Sasha pull out Hershel's watch that he gave to Glenn, my heart ached. I think Maggie's did too, simply because she now owns the watch--the only thing she has to remember her father by. She has her and Glenn's baby, which she didn't lose, despite everything that had happened.
Does anybody else hate Gregory? The way he calls Maggie "Dear", "Honey", and "Marsha" it makes me cringe. But we all saw that fire spark back into Maggie's eyes when she ripped the watch from Gregory. But my favorite part was when she punched him. Go Maggie!
"Maggie Rhee" <-- Yes. My feels. I'm so proud of Maggie. She's taking a leadership role now. It'll be interesting to see what happens with her character. Same with Sasha.
Jesus and Sasha, perhaps? I don't think so. I think that Sasha loved Abraham--but now that he's gone, It'll take awhile for her to accept anybody new in her life.
The ending of the episode, where Jesus found Carl.
In the comics, Carl was in the van where Daryl was. I wonder if Carl will become Negan's protoge, but I heard that Chandler Riggs (The actor who plays Carl) only had a 7 season contract. It will be interesting how they play his character.
Hopefully next Sunday's episode will be more entertaining!
Cheers,
~Rio
